JJ/WBGSP Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship provides comprehensive financial support, including:
- Full tuition coverage for the duration of the master’s program.
- Round-trip economy class airfare from the home country to the host university.
- A US$500 travel allowance per trip.
- Basic medical insurance provided by the host university.
- Monthly living allowance to cover accommodation, food, books, and other essentials.
What’s Not Covered?
The scholarship does not include:
- VISA application costs.
- Support for family members.
- Extra-curricular courses or additional training.
- Research expenses, workshops, or internships.
- Computers or educational equipment.
- Resident permit fees.
JJ/WBGSP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the JJ/WBGSP Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Language: Proficiency in English.
- Eligible Countries: Citizens of developing nations.
- Citizenship: Must not hold dual citizenship with any developed country.
- Health: Must be in good health.
- Academic Requirement: A Bachelor’s degree earned at least three years before the application deadline.
- Work Experience: Minimum of three years of recent development-related work experience.
- Employment: Must be employed full-time in a development-related role at the time of application (except for applicants from Fragile and Conflict States).
- Admission Requirement: Must have an unconditional admission offer to a preferred master’s program outside the applicant’s home country before applying for the scholarship.
Who Is Not Eligible?
- World Bank Group Executive Directors, staff, or their close relatives (mother, father, sibling, child, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew).

- Bachelor’s degree certificate.

- Admission letter from a preferred master’s program.
