DAAD STEM Scholarship (Who Can Apply?)

Applicants must meet these eligibility requirements:

  • Be a citizen of a developing country

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field

  • Be proficient in English or German

  • Bachelor’s degree must not be older than 6 years at the time of application

  • Have not resided in Germany for more than 15 months by the application deadline

  • Show above-average academic performance

  • Must apply to a state-recognized, tuition-free Master’s program in Germany


DAAD STEM Scholarship (Benefits)

If selected, scholars will receive:

  • Tuition-free Master’s program (2 years)

  • Monthly stipend of €992 (€11,904/year)

  • Travel allowance (from your home country to Germany)

  • Health, accident & liability insurance

  • Annual study/research allowance of €460

  • Full-time, on-campus study support for 10–24 months
