Human Rights Scholarship (Benefits)

This scholarship offers a robust financial package to support both tuition and living expenses during your research program:

• Living Allowance: Up to $43,500 per year (2025 rate, pro rata), for:

  • Up to 2 years for Master’s by Research students

  • Up to 3.5 years for Doctoral candidates

  • Includes limited paid sick leave, maternity leave, and parenting leave

• Full Tuition Offset:

  • Up to 2 years for Master’s by Research

  • Up to 4 years for Doctoral students

• Relocation Grant:

  • $2,000 for students moving from other Australian states/territories

  • $3,000 for international students relocating from overseas

• Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Single cover for international students on a student visa

Maximum Scholarship Value: Up to $94,200, depending on degree length and circumstances

• Have a clear research focus on Human Rights

• Not have completed a research degree at the same or higher level

• Not have previously received a graduate research scholarship

• Be a domestic or international student
