About the Kaduna State Data Science Fellowship
The 2025 edition of the Kaduna State Data Science Fellowship is tailored for young Nigerians aged 18–35 with an academic background in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). It aims to train participants in data analytics, machine learning, and the use of data for evidence-based policy-making, particularly in sectors like public health and economic planning.
Successful fellows will be immersed in a real-time data environment, leveraging AI and data modeling tools at the Amina J. Mohammed SDGs Data Lab. Participants will also contribute to development planning and interact with both government officials and industry experts.
Kaduna State Data Science Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Kaduna State Data Science Fellowship Program 2025, applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old (exceptions may be considered)
- Be a resident of Kaduna State
- Be a graduate of a tertiary institution in any of the following disciplines:
- Statistics
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Economics
- Physical Sciences
- Health-related fields
- Students currently undergoing a 6 to 12-month internship in STEM fields are also encouraged to apply
- Demonstrate the following competencies:
