The Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program offers a fully funded undergraduate and master’s scholarship opportunity for Egyptian nationals to study at some of the top universities in the United States. The scholarship covers full tuition, living allowance, travel expenses, and health insurance, with the additional benefit of internship opportunities within Orascom Construction.

Onsi Sawiris Scholarship (Eligibility Criteria)
For Undergraduate Applicants:
Must be an Egyptian national and resident of Egypt (preference given to those without dual nationality)
Planning to start studies in the USA in 2025
Committed to returning to Egypt for at least two years after graduation
Have not lived abroad for more than 3 years
Minimum TOEFL iBT score: 100+
GPA of 3.5 or 90% in Thanaweyya Amma or equivalent
SAT Scores:
Old SAT (pre-May 2017): Overall 2100; Reading 700; Math 700; Writing 700
New SAT (post-May 2017): Overall 1450; Evidence-Based Reading & Writing 730; Math 730
Or SAT II in 3 subjects: 600+
Active involvement in extracurricular activities
For Master’s Applicants:
Must be Egyptian nationals residing in Egypt (non-dual nationals preferred)
Pursuing master’s in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management at one of the approved US universities
Not lived abroad for more than 3 years
Commitment to return to Egypt for two years after studies
TOEFL iBT score: 100+
GPA: 3.5 or Very Good+
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
GMAT score of 650+ (taken within last 5 years) for MBA applicants
GRE scores (for non-MBA programs): Overall minimum 302; Analytical Writing 4.5 (Old GRE not accepted)
Active involvement in extracurricular activities
Important Notes
Candidates with an Egyptian Master’s degree in a different technical field may be considered.
Candidates with a foreign Master’s degree or an Egyptian Master’s in the same field are not eligible.
Scholarship offers are contingent upon acceptance by one of the approved universities.
Preference is given to candidates who have not lived, worked, or studied abroad extensively.
The scholarship is only granted for studies at the four endorsed universities listed above.

Write two essays (uploaded in the Statement of Purpose section):
Essay 1: (500 words) Discuss how attending your chosen university will help you succeed on personal, local, and national levels.
Essay 2: (350 words) Describe your passions and how you have pursued them.
