About the Humphrey Fellowship

The Humphrey Program is not a traditional academic program. Instead, it emphasizes professional development, networking, and practical experience in participants’ respective fields. Fellows take part in tailored programs at selected U.S. universities, attend conferences, build leadership skills, and engage in hands-on work experiences.

Humphrey Fellowship Program (Eligibility Criteria)

To apply for the Humphrey Fellowship, you must:

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)

• Have a minimum of 5 years of full-time, professional experience

• Possess limited or no prior U.S. experience

• Show demonstrated leadership qualities

• Have a proven record of public service

• Be proficient in English (some participants may receive pre-academic language training)

Eligibility is based on nationality. Applicants must be citizens of one of the eligible countries in the following regions:
