British Council UK 90th Anniversary Fellowship (Eligibility Criteria)

To apply, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Be a citizen of an ODA-recipient country (view full list below)

• Hold a PhD awarded between 2018 and 2025 (earlier graduates with career breaks are also eligible)

• If the PhD is not yet awarded, evidence must be provided that the viva has been passed and all corrections completed

• Must not hold a permanent academic position

• Must not have previously held this fellowship

• Temporary, short-term, and recurring academic appointments are acceptable

Career interruptions such as parental leave will not be counted in the seven-year post-PhD limit.

Eligible Countries include (but are not limited to): Nigeria, India, Indonesia, Ghana, Kenya, Pakistan, South Africa, Egypt, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Colombia, Ukraine, and more.
