AGRTP Scholarship (Eligibility Criteria)

To be eligible for the University of Sydney RTP Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

  • Be an international or domestic student

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree to apply for a Master’s by Research

  • Hold a Master’s degree to apply for a PhD

  • Secure a supervisor before applying

  • Submit a competitive research proposal

  • Meet the English language requirements of the University

  • Apply and receive an offer into a research degree program before the scholarship deadline

Note: You do not need to submit a separate application for the RTP Scholarship. Once you apply for the research program and are accepted, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship.


AGRTP Scholarship (Required Documents)

A complete RTP scholarship application should include:

  • Final Research Proposal

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume

  • Supervisor Acceptance Letter

  • Official Academic Transcripts

  • Proof of English Proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent)

  • Two Academic Referee Reports

  • Passport or National ID

  • Any additional documents specified by your chosen faculty

How to Apply for the University of Sydney AGRTP Scholarship 2026?

    Visit the University of Sydney Course Finder and select a suitable Master’s by Research or PhD program.

  2. Find a Supervisor
    Identify and contact a supervisor in your field of study. A Supervisor Acceptance Letter is required before you can apply.

    Gather and finalize all necessary documents, including a strong research proposal and referee reports.

  4. Submit Your Application
    Apply for your selected research program via the University’s online portal. Your application will be considered for the RTP Scholarship automatically—no separate scholarship form is needed.
