This merit-based scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible first-time undergraduate students and is based on two key criteria:

Each scholarship level below is renewable annually for up to four years, provided students meet the cumulative GPA requirement.
1. Founder’s Scholarship

International Transfer Student Scholarship
Are you an international student transferring to Ferris State University from another institution? You may qualify for the Ferris International Transfer Scholarship, designed to make U.S. education more affordable for transfer students.

Award: $5,500/year (up to $16,500 over three years)

Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA

At least 12 accepted transfer credit hours

Enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credits)

Renewal Requirement: 3.0 cumulative GPA and compliance with Ferris State’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy
Note: Canadian students are not eligible for this scholarship, as they do not pay international tuition rates.
