Applications are now open for the UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship 2025, a prestigious, fully funded opportunity that offers international students the chance to conduct advanced research in science, technology, and engineering. This six-month program will take place at the renowned AGH University of Kraków in Poland, and is jointly supported by UNESCO and the Government of Poland.

The fellowship is open to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students from selected countries. The program will run from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, and will support 28 selected fellows from across Africa, Asia, the Arab States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship Financial Coverage

Selected fellows will receive comprehensive financial support, including:

  • Tuition fee coverage

UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this fellowship, applicants must:

  • Be citizens of the eligible countries listed above

  • Be 32 years old or younger at the time of application

  • Be currently studying or hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree

  • Plan to stay in Poland for the full six-month duration

  • Meet the language and academic requirements specified in the official annexes


UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship  Required Documents

Applicants must prepare the following documents:

  • Completed UNESCO Fellowship Application Form

  • Valid passport copy

  • Recent passport-sized photo

  • Certified academic transcripts (translated into English)

  • Language proficiency certificate (UNESCO format)

  • Two letters of recommendation

  • Read Annex I (Terms & Conditions) and Annex IV (Research Fields)


UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowship  (How to Apply)

Applications must be submitted through the applicant’s National Commission for UNESCO. Direct applications to UNESCO will not be considered. Contact your country’s National Commission to begin your application and submit the required documents.
