Sergio Aguero, Manchester City Striker, Signed a Two-year Contract with Barcelona

Sergio Aguero has finalised a deal to Barcelona following his departure from Manchester City, according to the Spanish club.
The Argentina international departed Manchester City when his contract expired at the end of the season and has signed a contract with Ronald Koeman’s side until the conclusion of the 2022-23 season.
On Monday evening, May 31, the 32-year-old striker will be presented at the Nou Camp by club president Joan Laporta, and will formally join on July 1. He will have a €100 million release clause.
Aguero had a medical at the Creu Blanca clinic on Monday after arriving in Barcelona on Sunday. His left knee, which he injured against Burnley last June and has prevented him from playing for City this season, was subjected to intensive checks by the club’s medical experts.
On Monday, Barcelona will hold a small presentation for Aguero before he travels to Argentina to join the national squad ahead of World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Colombia.

“FC Barcelona and Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero have reached an agreement for the player to join the Club from July 1 when his contract with Manchester City expires,” Barca said in a statement on their official website.
“The player will sign a deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2022-23 season, with a buyout clause of 100 million euros.”
On Saturday in Porto, Aguero made his farewell appearance for City as a substitute in their 1-0 Champions League final loss to Chelsea.
He’ll now fly to Argentina to join his national team for World Cup qualifying matches against Chile and Colombia.
Since allowing Luis Suarez go for Atletico Madrid last year, Barcelona has been looking for a new No. 9.
President Joan Laporta had met with Erling Haaland’s agents to explore a possible move, but the expenditures were too high.
As a result, Barca has had to seek at players in a different price range, and Aguero has been described as a “market opportunity” by club sources, given that his contract with City expires on June 30 and he will be available for free.
However, the signing of Aguero does not rule out the possibility of other forward additions this summer. The club is also in discussion with Lyon’s Memphis Depay, who is out of contract at the end of the month, and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of signing a younger forward if the opportunity arises.
Next season, Aguero hopes to reunite with international teammate Lionel Messi at Camp Nou.
