Funsho Adeolu is a multi-award-winning Nigerian actor, director, producer, event effects provider, MC, and live band singer who has worked in both English and Yoruba films. In addition, he is the founder and CEO of Flynest Media.

Funsho Adeolu Early Life

Funsho Adeolu Adegeye was born on the 6th of May 1968 in Lagos, Nigeria, to Mr. and Mrs. Adegeye. He is from Nigeria’s Ondo State.

During his time at Baptist Academy, Funsho excelled. He has consistently been given credit for Countdown at Kusini, a film that starred his namesake, late Oba Funsho Adeolu, the Alaaye of Ode Remo, and was directed by his father (who played Chief Eleyinmi in the old Nigerian Sitcom “The Village Headmaster”). Ibidun Allison played the role of the other Nigerian actor in Countdown at Kusini (Amebo of “The Village Headmaster”). Heroes and Zeroes, a 2012 Nigerian drama film, included him as a character.

Funsho Adeolu Education

Funsho went to a nursery school in Surulere and then to Lady Lak Elementary School in Ebute Meta for his primary schooling.

He continued his study at Ansaru deen College in Isolo after completing his primary education. He subsequently went to Baptist Academy in Obanikoro to complete his A’ levels (formerly called as Higher School Certificate) (HSC).

He opted to attend some crash courses after completing his HSC, including journalism. Following that, he continued his study at Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti (now UNAD), where he majored in Guidance and Counseling.

Funsho Adeolu Career

Funsho Adeolu began his acting career in Festac Town, Lagos, in 1987 alongside Antar Laniyan and a group. He began his acting career on stage, then moved on to a television series on Nigerian Television Authority before pursuing a career in film.

Funsho was trained by Antar Laniyan and brought into the industry. By 1989, Funsho had been in a television series, which catapulted him into the spotlight in the film industry.

His breakthrough film was the TV series Palace, which led to subsequent successful projects. After that, he began to receive movie roles and was cast in the popular TV show Super Story. Funsho Adeolu has directed, produced, and performed in a number of award-winning films to date.

Funsho Adeolu married Victoria Adeolu in 2005 and they have two sons.
