Davido One Million Naira Challenge
On November 17, 2021, Davido issued a challenge to his loyal friends, asking them to send him a sum of one million nairas each, which they were to deposit into his bank account. Davido stated that anyone who does not complete the challenge should no longer be associated with him in any way. The donations poured in, and he was able to raise a total of 201 million nairas, to which he added 50 million from his own pocket, and he established a committee to distribute the monies to orphanages around Nigeria. “We grow by lifting others,” Davido wrote in the caption of a copy of the message he shared on Twitter. Davido had set a challenge on his Instagram page, urging his followers to show him, love, by crediting his account with the number he had provided in the challenge. He had no idea that he had just created an opportunity for his pals to express their feelings of affection toward him. He sent the message on Wednesday morning, and by Thursday evening, he had gathered more than N150 million in donations from the public.
In reality, few expected people to respond to Davido’s challenge in the manner in which they did. It was a demonstration of unity among Davido’s supporters, from celebrities to fans, to family, who met and beyond his N100 million challenge. In his statement, Davido stated that the donations were intended for his birthday and to help him clear his new Rolls Royce automobile from the port, following which he purchased a Lamborghini Aventador a few weeks later. He was able to raise a total of slightly more than N201 million, to which he added N50 million from his own pocket. He then established a committee to distribute the funds to orphanages across Nigeria, an act that was applauded by prominent figures both in Nigeria and abroad. Femi Otedola, Obi Cubana, Zlatan Ibile, Eniola Badmus, and E-Money are among those who have contributed.
Davido’s Net worth
Davido’s net worth is estimated to cross $50 million by 2022, according to reports. Even as of January 2021, his total net worth is still believed to be $35 million, with Davido’s total net worth, which was previously estimated to be $25 million, climbing to $35 million.
Aside from being the son of a wealthy family, Davido is a hustler who aspires to build his own money and name rather than relying exclusively on his father’s fortune.
Many people are curious about the source of Davido’s wealth, and some believe that his wealth and celebrity are owed to his father. Davido, on the other hand, has worked hard to make himself wealthy, as evidenced by the several endorsement deals he has secured.
According to Forbes, Davido is one of the African singers that produces and releases songs that reach the top of several music charts.
African-themed songs that have constantly topped the charts and characterized key cultural events for Africans on the continent and in the diaspora have been compiled in a list published by Forbes magazine.
