What is Fountain University’s cut-off mark?

Fountain University’s cut-off mark is 140. The university has published the JAMB cut-off grades for admission into its various NUC-accredited programs for the 2025/2026 academic session. To gain admission into this university, ensure your cut-off mark is 140 or higher.

It’s also important to note that 140 is the general cut-off mark. The university departmental cut-off marks differ. Some of the programs required higher scores, considering the high demand. Here is. breakdown of the departmental cut-off marks grouped according to the colleges:

• B.NSc. Nursing Science – Minimum UTME score of 220.
• B.Physiotherapy – Minimum UTME score of 200.

Fountain University Admission Requirements

Just like other universities in Nigeria have their requirements, so also does Fountain University. Among the basic Fountain University admission requirements are:

• Candidates must make Fountain University their first Choice in JAMB.
• Candidates must score at least 140 in the UTME
• In case you didn’t choose Fountain University as First Choice in JAMB, you must be willing to apply for a Change of Institution. Note, this can be done on the JAMB portal. 

Can I Apply for Fountain University Post UTME/DE?

Yes, you can apply for the Fountain University Post UTME once the portal is open for it. Currently, the Fountain University Post UTME is not out. Here is a guide on how to apply:

1. Visit the Fountain University Admission Portal and click on ‘New Application’ to create an account. 
2. Once you create an account, you can access the application form. Fill up the form with the correct details. Note, your email must be correct because that’s where your Application Number will be sent to. 
3. Check your email to get your application number and log in to the admission portal with it. 
4. Next is to make payment for the application fee, which will be stated on the portal. 
5. Afterwards, upload the required documents in the right format. 
6. Take the POST UTME exam by clicking “Take Post UTME Exam.”
7. You will be sent your acceptance letter if you pass the Post UTME Exam.

Next Stage is Post-UTME Screening:

• The registration portal can be accessed by selecting “Take Post UTME Screening.”
• Before the deadline, complete the necessary fields and submit your application.
• There is a two-thousand-naira (N2,000) post-UTME screening cost.

After the Post UTME Screening

• Await the admissions office to process your application.
• After being accepted, you must pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of N60,000.
• Both the Fountain University screening portal and the JAMB portal allow you to print your admission letter.
• Get ready for your studies on the vibrant campus of Fountain University.

Fountain University Admission Requirements

You can either get into Fountain University as a UTME candidate or a Direct Entry candidate. Whichever way you prefer, there are specific requirements you must meet. These requirements make you eligible for admission.

For UTME Candidates.

To gain admission as a UTME candidate, you must:

• Have at least 6 credit passes in your WAEC or any other O-level exam like NECO and NABTEB. The credit passes must be relevant to the course you want to study.
• Be 16 years and above.
• Have a valid UTME result. Awaiting the result is not accepted. 
• Have chosen Fountain University as your First Choice in JAMB during your registration.
• Have registered and participated in the Post UTME screening exercise conducted by the university. The screening fee is N2,000 only.

For Direct Entry Candidates

Fountain University admission requirements for Direct Entry candidates are similar to the requirements for UTME candidates. The difference is that you will fill Direct Entry form and present OND or ND certificate. 

Here are the requirements:

• Your O-level results should show that you earned at least five credits, including math and English. Two sittings are not permitted.
• Be sixteen years of age or older.
• Apply by obtaining a Direct Entry form from JAMB.
• Possess one of the following certificates: Cambridge A Level, OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, BSc, HND, or ICAN.

Fountain University Admission Requirements for Graduate Programs

• A minimum of a Second Class (Lower Division) degree from an accredited university in the relevant field.
• Five (5) O’Level credit passes, including math and English language.
• A valid score of 160 or higher on the UTME.
• A strong showing on the university’s postgraduate entrance exam and interview.
