This fully funded training is a unique opportunity to develop vital skills, earn certifications, and connect with a growing network of changemakers across Africa.

Organized by the African Union CIEFFA in collaboration with ImpactHER, the training is designed to empower young women and men with relevant skills in STEAM, digital literacy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship—without requiring IELTS or any standardized English test.

What is the AU Capacity Building Training About?

The African Union International Centre for Girls and Women’s Education in Africa (CIEFFA) and ImpactHER have partnered to launch the 2025 edition of the Online Capacity Building Training Program. This initiative promotes gender-responsive education and skills development across Africa by equipping participants with tools needed to thrive in today’s digital and entrepreneurial landscape.

The training will focus on:

  • STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics)
  • Digital skills development
  • Entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Financial literacy for economic empowerment

Special attention is given to empowering women educators to deliver digital and STEAM-related content effectively in classrooms and communities.


About the Organizers

  • African Union CIEFFA is a specialized agency under the AU Commission’s Department of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (ESTI). It focuses on promoting gender equality and education access for girls and women across Africa.
  • ImpactHER is a globally recognized non-profit organization helping African women entrepreneurs scale their businesses and bridge the gender financing gap through capacity development, mentorship, and funding opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the 2025 African Union Online Training Program, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of an African country (living in Africa or the diaspora)
  • Be male or female between the ages of 18 and 35
  • Demonstrate strong motivation to learn digital, entrepreneurial, and financial skills
  • Show leadership potential and commitment to promoting girls’ and women’s education
  • Have a reliable internet connection and access to a device (laptop, smartphone, or tablet)
  • Understand at least one of the official training languages: English, French, or Portuguese
