About the MTN Foundation MUSON Scholarship
The MTN MUSON Music Scholarship was designed to discover and support musically talented students who would otherwise lack the financial means to develop their craft. It provides full funding for a 2-year diploma program, modeled after the standards of leading music conservatories worldwide.
Scholars are trained to become versatile, professionally equipped musicians and may qualify for direct university admission upon completion. The curriculum covers both theory and performance, with majors offered in:

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the MTN MUSON Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Academic Qualifications:
- GCE Ordinary Level or SSCE with at least 5 credits, including English Language, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- These academic requirements must be fulfilled prior to admission.
Music Proficiency:
- Theory: Grade 5 or higher pass certificate from MUSON or an equivalent recognized body.
- Practical: Grade 5 or higher pass certificate in a major instrument or voice.
Note: Applicants with exceptional practical skills but lacking theory certification may be considered. They must complete and pass a remedial theory course during the first year.

The selection process includes:
- Written Music Theory Exam (Grade 5 level)
- Audition on a primary instrument or voice
