KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship Benefits

Recipients of the KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship will receive:

KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the KAIST Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Language Requirement: Proficiency in English
  • Nationality: Open to students from all countries (except those with Korean citizenship, including dual citizens)
  • Academic Qualifications:
    • For Spring 2025 intake, applicants must graduate from high school by February 28, 2025.
    • For Fall 2025 intake, applicants must graduate from high school by August 31, 2025.

KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship (How to Apply)

Follow these steps to apply for the KAIST Undergraduate Scholarship:

  1. Complete the Online Application:
    • Visit the official KAIST admissions website and fill out the application form.
  2. Pay the Application Fee:
    • A fee of USD 80 (or 80,000 KRW) must be paid via credit card or bank transfer.
  3. Submit Required Documents: Applicants must upload scanned copies of the following documents (certified by a school principal or head of an institution):
    • One Recommendation Letter (from an academic advisor, homeroom teacher, or a math/science teacher)
    • High school transcripts
    • School profile
    • Standardized test scores (if applicable)
    • English proficiency test report
    • Copy of passport or national ID
    • Statement of Financial Resources (for KAIST Scholarship and sponsorship, if applicable)
    • Honors and awards certificates (optional)

    Important Notes:

    • Only one recommendation letter is required.
    • The recommendation letter must be written in English or Korean and submitted electronically.
    • Applicants should enter their recommender’s email address correctly to ensure submission.
