Shandong University Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- Open to international students (non-Chinese citizens).
Age and Degree Requirements
- Undergraduate: Must have a high school diploma and be under 25 years old.
- Master’s: Must have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
- PhD: Must have a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.

Language Requirements
For Programs Taught in Chinese
- Undergraduate: HSK 4 (minimum score of 210)
- Master’s: HSK 5 (minimum score of 180)

For Programs Taught in English
- Native English Speakers: No proof of proficiency required.
- Non-Native English Speakers:
- IELTS: Minimum score of 6.0
- TOEFL: Minimum 80 (MyBest Scores accepted, SDU DI code: C296)
- Alternative Proof: If previous education was in English, an official certificate confirming the language of instruction is required.
Shandong University Scholarship (How to Apply?)
Step 1: Online Application Submission
- Visit the SDU Online Application System.
- Fill out the Shandong University Scholarship Application Form in English or Chinese.
- Sign and scan the completed form, then upload it to the online system.
