- Hassa Jadvani Memorial Scholarship: Designed to support students enrolled in the Graduate School of Business, this scholarship gives preference to those pursuing International Business or Finance. Funding Options For International Students
While most financial aid programs are subsidized by the U.S. Government and are limited to U.S. citizens, there are funding options available specifically for international students studying at SNHU:
Student Employment
Full-time students in lawful F-1 or J-1 status can seek on-campus employment for a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic term. On-campus jobs are available, although it’s important to note that new students with limited work experience may face challenges in finding employment.
It’s recommended to consider earnings from employment as supplementary and not rely solely on them to cover the expenses of studying in the U.S., as they can be unpredictable.
Resident Assistant
From time to time, positions as Residence Assistants become available. These roles involve living in a campus residence hall and assisting fellow students on a specific floor. Residence Assistant awards include a scholarship, stipend, and reduced rate for single-room accommodation. Normally, students become eligible for these positions after completing their first year of study.
Athletic Scholarships
Outstanding athletes in various sports such as basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer (football), tennis, baseball, softball, and volleyball may be eligible for athletic scholarships. The specific amounts of these scholarships vary and are determined by the respective coaches.
International Student Loan Program (Private Loans)
If you have family or friends who are permanent residents of the U.S., you may qualify for the International Student Loan Program. This program offers loans covering up to the full cost of your education, with repayment terms spanning up to 25 years.
Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible, except for Intensive English programs. The primary condition is that a family member or friend who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident must be willing to co-sign or guarantee the loan.
